Rebecca Tara Cameron
Agile Facilitator | Legal Advisor
I was born in England, moved to Malawi and now call South Africa my home.
I studied law with a sprinkling of Psychology,
traveled the world and eventually got
a real job.
I started a group called “F*ck the Cape town Clique” to promote prosocial behaviour, build a community and quite frankly, make friends.
You could say my love language is gift giving, but mostly gift receiving.
I am a qualified attorney and finished my articles of Clerkship at
CDH.
I then did what a millennial does and changed careers inspired by discussions at
Lean
(Startup)
Coffee.
After that, I got to work for one of South Africa’s most awesome start-ups called
OfferZen and learned about the Tech World.
It was there that I discovered this term called “Agile”: a career where my job is to talk to people all day and get paid for it #mindblown.
I now work at
Afrolabs as an Agile Facilitator and Legal Advisor combining the worlds of law and tech.
I have since started a meetup called
Lean (legal)
coffee hosted at CDH (and now remotely).
I am also on the committee for
SUGSA : we organise so many activities
for Agilists.
I would love to visit your office because I love meetings and free coffee.
Here are some of the
“cool
things” people have said about me.
Here is a more
detailed CV if you are interested in that sort of thing.
Listen to the
sound of my voice in this podcast that I did about Agile in the legal industry.
